Soracom launches MVNE service, rolls out AI agent

Japanese IoT outfit Soracom has launched an MVNE offering and an AI agent for helping guide customers along the sales and support pipeline. Speaking to Kenta Yasukawa, CTO and Co-Founder, independence is treating it well – having gone public a couple of years ago. KDDI acquired Soracom in 2017, perhaps at the peak of the IoT craze. Soracom had built a good reputation for itself, as a purveyor of cellular IoT connectivity and the supporting cloud platform needed to manage a distributed fleet of devices. It had only been founded in November 2014, but had racked up some 7,000 customers across 120 countries when KDDI made its move.
